I-10 Collision Causes Hay Fire

The Police officials informed citizens that the collision ignited a hay fire that led to the closure of the westbound lanes heading to California.
According to the Department of Transportation, the collision took place around at 1:30 pm near Eagle Mountain in between Blythe & Coachella Valley. The department recommended the travelers use either I-40 or take 62 to 177, until the highway was re-opened. The department did not mention the extent of iinjuries, but one person was airlifted to the hospital. As of 10:30 pm, the department website still has listed the highway was closed until further investigation as completed.
