Stolen Vehicle Involved in Scottsdale Accident

A stolen vehicle ended up in a Scottsdale auto accident after it crashed on a freeway Tuesday early morning (ABC 15 08/30/2011). According to report, Scottsdale police received a complaint regarding a stolen car around 4:30 a.m. near Loop 101 and Shea Boulevard.

The vehicle was spotted traveling south at a high rate of speed near McKellips Road before crashing near the Loop 101 and Loop 202 junction. Police continue their search for the suspects who fled the scene after the accident.

If there is any consolation to the incident, it is that no other people were hurt in the crash. Car accidents are notoriously known to cause injuries and even deaths. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), car accidents have become prevalent that they are “the leading cause of death among those age 5-34 in the U.S”. Furthermore, CDC points out that motor vehicle crashes cost $ 70 billion in 2005. This includes medical and legal expenses, property damage, and lost productivity and quality of life.
